The first Spiritual Day was hosted by the Bartimeus Centre, which was organised by the Hungarian Reformed Blind Mission and the Bartimeus Cultural Association in Hungary. We thank Reverend Alexandra Nógrádiné Kovács, Mission Leader, and Tibor Miklós, President and leader of the Association, for their visit, missionary activities and direct, sincere service.
After a Bible quiz, the service was basically built around three scriptures: the Gospel of Matthew 6.25-34, which raises the issue of worrying. Tibor Miklós’ testimony was built around the Gospel of John 8:12 (‘I am the light of the world: he who follows me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life’), which has a real strong message for the visually impaired. Finally, Tamás Kovács, a blind theologian and member of the our Foundation, ministered on the basis of Philippians 4:6-7. Thank you Tamás!
We thank the visually impaired people who attended the meeting for their quality presence, their open-hearted discussions, their encouragement, their strong faith-based spirit, their unconditional trust in the good. We thank the ministers in Hungary for their work and we sincerely hope that the first spiritual day can be the beginning of a long cooperation.
Thank you for the donation packages, we especially appreciate the New Testaments for the visually impaired! God bless your work!
